The 03 Gold team started the Jr Battle of Boston with a tough 5-3 loss to a loaded Hockey Essentials West team. Every player on the Essentials West was at Select 15 USA Hockey National Camp!
The boys battled back Saturday win must wins over Northstars Elite and Hockey Essentials Atlantic 1-0 and 4-1 to secure the 2nd seed in their bracket and advance to the Semi Finals.
In the Semi Finals the Knights took out Top Shelf Hockey 4-0 setting up a rematch with Essentials West in the final.
The Knights grabbed the lead in the first half on a nice PP goal, but Essentials was able to tie the game with 1:29 left to send the game to OT! Five minutes of 3 vs 3 couldn't break the tie so the game went to a shoot out.
Cooper Flinton scored for the Knights and Greyson Payne stopped all 3 shooters for the victory.
